The tender and childlike devotion shining<br \/>\nthrough each strophe of verse is matched only by the totality of the gift that<br \/>\nGod bestows upon those who approach this Sacred Banquet.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/opsisters.org.nz\/preview\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Postulants.jpg\" style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/opsisters.org.nz\/preview\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Postulants-188x300.jpg\" width=\"250\" \/><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">The days following Trinity Sunday<br \/>\ncall particularly to mind the wonderful things of God \u2013 <i>O res mirabilis<\/i> \u2013 as the <i>Panis<br \/>\nAngelicus<\/i> hymns so sublimely. Here in Tynong, the Sisters have had the<br \/>\nextraordinary privilege of having the Feast of Corpus Christi celebrated in a<br \/>\ngrand way: a Solemn High Mass and Procession of the Blessed Sacrament across<br \/>\nthe whole span of St Thomas Aquinas College grounds was celebrated; the parish<br \/>\nchurch of Corpus Christi had the 40 Hours Devotion and its attendant liturgies<br \/>\nand devotions crowned by the First Holy Communions of 26 Year 2 boys and girls<br \/>\non Sunday, followed by a procession from the Church to the Convent.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">For the Sisters too, Corpus Christi<br \/>\nwas a day of rejoicing \u2013 we welcomed our newest postulant, Miss Catherine Ryan,<br \/>\nwho hails from New South Wales, to our growing family. This brings the number<br \/>\nof Sisters currently residing in Rosary Convent to the very nice prime number<br \/>\nof 19. More Sisters may mean less room in our already very cramped Refectory<br \/>\nand Chapel, but it also means more hands lifted up to Heaven to draw down<br \/>\ngraces from the throne of God.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">Christ is to us, as He was to the<br \/>\ndisciples at Emmaus, the companion of our journey, <i>God with us<\/i>. For Dominicans especially, devotion to the Holy<br \/>\nEucharist is part of the very fabric of Dominican life and spirituality.<br \/>\nScarcely has the day begun before the bell calls us to prayer in the chapel,<br \/>\nwhere we beg God\u2019s blessing for the day while we cast ourselves upon our knees<br \/>\nin adoration and throw, as it were, both body and soul into the worship of<br \/>\nUncreated Beauty.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<br \/><span lang=\"EN-US\"><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/opsisters.org.nz\/preview\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Corpus-2BChristi.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"323\" src=\"https:\/\/opsisters.org.nz\/preview\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Corpus-2BChristi-300x153.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<i><span lang=\"EN-US\">O Sacrum Convivium\u2026 O Sacred Banquet, in which Christ is received, the<br \/>\nmemory of His Passion renewed<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u2026 these are the words that spring from our lips each time we assemble in<br \/>\nchoir to offer to the Triune Godhead the sacrifice of praise, the Divine<br \/>\nOffice. Thus gathered before His Presence, we incline ourselves profoundly in<br \/>\nadoration of the Sacred Mysteries wrought by God, acknowledging the greatness<br \/>\nand the goodness of He Who loves us, uniting our voices with that of the<br \/>\nangelic chorus that cry <i>Sanctus, Sanctus,<br \/>\nSanctus<\/i> unceasingly before the throne of the Divine Majesty.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/opsisters.org.nz\/preview\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Benediction.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"427\" src=\"https:\/\/opsisters.org.nz\/preview\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Benediction-300x201.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">Before the Tabernacle, let us enter<br \/>\ninto that darkness of Faith and into the sacred silence of the Eucharistic<br \/>\nmystery. The little door of the Tabernacle opens into the Infinite, and the<br \/>\nlife that pulsates in the Host is that of <i>the<br \/>\nHeart of Jesus Christ<\/i>, in Whom every prayer and work of ours both begins<br \/>\nand ends, the sum and term of our Christian life upon this earth. The Lord of<br \/>\nHosts, <i>Verbum supernum prodiens \u2013 the<br \/>\nWord of God proceeding forth<\/i> \u2013 tiny and Immaculate, descending lightly into<br \/>\nthe hands of His priest.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/opsisters.org.nz\/preview\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Allegory-Full-Chalice.jpg\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/opsisters.org.nz\/preview\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Allegory-Full-Chalice-283x300.jpg\" width=\"188\" \/><\/a><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Adoro Te<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u2026!
